Keeping this comparison in mind, what are the different components that make rapid deployment possible for track- or wheel-mounted plants?
❏ Direct-drive engines on each load;
❏ The elimination of main-control center (MCC) panels and large electrical cables;
❏ Loads that can be self-erected with self-contained hydraulics;
❏ On-plant conveyors, hopper walls, personnel walkways, etc.;
❏ Hydraulic plates (for wheel mounted plants) or track foundations (for track-mounted plants) in areas of low ground pressure;
❏ Elimination of the need for cranes, cribbing, chains, and slings;
❏ Bulkheads are located on-plant;
❏ Computer and/or wireless controls;
❏ Hydraulic access ladders and platforms located on-board;
❏ Minimal transfer conveyors and support equipment;
❏ All portable conveyors should be self-erecting.
